Fetus found dumped in canal

PAGBILAO, Quezon — A fetus placed inside a plastic container was found in a canal in Sitio Amao, Old Zigzag Road, Barangay Silangang Malicboy, this town, last Thursday afternoon. Police reports said a construction worker and resident of Barangay Malinao in Atimonan town found the fetus at 4:30 p.m. while looking for some pieces of wood in the area. Prior to the discovery of the nearly month-old fetus in the plastic container, the construction worker had been working in the area and had earlier seen the container. Police are trying to find out who left the container in the area. (Danny J. Estacio)
