Man shot dead in QC

A motorcycle-riding gunman shot and killed a resident of Barangay Payatas-A, Quezon City who was merely chatting with a neighbor Thursday night, police said.

PO3 Roldan Cornejo of the Quezon City Police District – Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit identified the victim as Jeffrey Leganson, 34.

Leganson’s friend, who requested anonymity, told police that he and Leganson were having a conversation on Rose Street around 7 p.m. when two motorcycle-riding men, who were wearing jackets and face masks, showed up.

The back rider immediately pulled out his gun and repeatedly shot Leganson, who died on the spot.

The police said five sachets of shabu were found on the scene.

Cornejo said he will check the barangay’s illegal drugs watchlist to find out whether or not the fatality was involved in illegal drugs.
