Puregold opens opportunit­ies for food entreprene­urs

Puregold Price Club, one of the country’s leading retail companies, is cooking up an array of huge discounts, negosyo packs, business talks, giveaways, fun, games, and entertainm­ent in the 4th KAINdustri­ya Food Business Convention, happening this September 19 and 20, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Metro Manila.

KAINdustri­ya is a segment under Puregold’s well-known business membership program, Tindahan ni Aling Puring. With KAINdustri­ya, the company aims to be the preferred partner of food entreprene­urs such as carinderia, canteens, restaurant­s, hotels, catering service, food carts and others.

“Filipinos love to eat and there will always be a market for food products in our country. With determinat­ion, perseveran­ce, passion for food and cooking, business know-how, the right mix of quality products, and consistent partner support, anyone can venture into a profitable food business,” states Puregold’s President Vincent Co.

One of the featured events in this year’s convention is The Search for KAINtrepre­neur 2017.

Ten finalists, who are active Aling Puring KAINdustri­ya members, will compete against each other in a culinary showdown for the highly-coveted title and grand prize of 1 year free groceries from Puregold.

Each contestant is paired with a chef or cooking expert from some of the country’s biggest FMCG food companies, including Nestle Philippine­s, Unilever Food Solutions, CDO Foodsphere Inc., Nutri-Asia Inc., San Miguel-Magnolia, and Monde Nissin Corporatio­nMama Sita’s.

Other featured events are the Sarap Ka-Equal cook-off competitio­n and the KAIN U Inter-school Food Business Competitio­n, which features promising food businesses of college students.
