Megaworld Corporation, the country’s top township developer, is starting to plan for its sixth office tower in its Uptown Bonifacio after transferring its headquarters (HQ) to the fourth building in the township.

In an interview, Megaworld Senior Vice President Kevin Tan said they have already completed four office towers with a total of 150,000 square meters while currently building the fifth tower which will have 105,000 square meters of office space.

Turned over are Uptown Place One, Two and Three as well as the 53,000 square meter Alliance Global Tower which is the new headquarters of the Megaworld group, while the World Commerce Center is under construction.

The first four towers are built on top of a podium which houses the Uptown Mall while World Commerce Center and the sixth building will also have access to the mall either underground or via a skywalk, said Tan.

The 30-story Alliance Global Tower is located along 36th Street corner 11th Avenue in Megaworld’s 15.4-hectare Uptown Bonifacio township in the northern district of Fort Bonifacio.

“On our 28th year as a company, we have transferred to our brand-new corporate headquarters. This is a product of the more than two decades of hardwork, dedication and excellence of the 5,000+ employees of the Megaworld Group,” said Megaworld Chief Operating Officer Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso.

Tan noted that “our numbers (employees) are growing so we thought now is the best time to consolidate our offices.”

The Alliance Global Tower is now home to Megaworld and its subsidiary brands Global-Estate Resorts, Inc. (GERI), Empire East Land Holdings, Inc. and other affiliate companies.

Megaworld’s office floors boast of wide working spaces spanning across 2,100 square meters per floor.

Each floor features the “open office layout,” allowing corporate transparency among its employees.

The office floors have a total of almost 100 meeting and conference rooms as well as training and testing rooms.

Each floor also features employee wellness and creativity lounges.

Each lounge also has a pantry with tables and chairs, as well as coffee facilities.

The building also features a 300-square meter “Skygarden” at the 18th level, which connects directly to the executive offices and the Chairman’s Boardroom that can accommodate around 54 people.

Another 445-square meter skygarden is located at the roofdeck.

The Alliance Global Tower is a LEEDcertified office tower that features integrated façade mechanical design for highly efficient energy consumption, water-efficient landscapes, bike racks and shower facilities and use of non-to-low toxic green cleaning products and pest control strategies.
