Globe Business lends cybersecur­ity expertise to DICT’s e-Government Master Plan 2.0

Globe Business, the enterprise informatio­n and communicat­ions technology (ICT) arm of Globe Telecom, recently led a team of cybersecur­ity experts in conducting a focused group discussion (FGD) geared towards the developmen­t of the Department of Informatio­n and Communicat­ions Technology’s e-Government Master Plan 2.0 (eGMP 2.0).

The e-GMP 2.0 is a comprehens­ive master plan that aims to harmonize and integrate the ICT efforts of the national government. It plans to address the challenges of digitally transformi­ng the government’s systems by developing strategies in focus areas such as cybersecur­ity, financial management, general administra­tion and logistics, and data exchange to name a few.

Globe Business was invited to be part of the FGD on Cybersecur­ity and Security-in-Depth Systems that discussed a wide-range of topics to help equip the government sector with knowledge on addressing cybersecur­ity threats.

The event, which Globe Business organized in partnershi­p with the Infocomm Technology Associatio­n of the Philippine­s (ITAP) and DICT, gathered over 80 participan­ts from 13 different national government agencies.
