Public invited to join Philippine Red Cross’ Million Volunteer Run 4

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) is invitingn the public to join the Million Volunteer Run 4 on October 21 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The MVR4, according to PRC, intends to gather people from all walks of life to run in order to help raise funds for the organizati­on’s humanitari­an causes.

Proceeds from the fun run registrati­on will be used to purchase rescue vehicles and equipment to further boost PRC’s disaster response capabiliti­es.

PRC said interested individual­s may register directly to the PRC National Headquarte­rs in Mandaluyon­g City; PRC Metro Manila chapters (Caloocan City, Las Piñas City, Manila, Malabon City, Marikina City, Pasay City, Quezon City, Rizal, and Valenzuela), www.mvr. redcross.org.ph; and Chris Sports Outlets at SM Manila, SM Sucat, SM North EDSA Annex, and Market! Market! In Taguig.

Meanwhile, PRC said that the registrati­on for the run is until 7 p.m. of October 19.

There are also two registrati­on rates for the run: P500 for 3K/5K, inclusive of an MVR singlet, PRC bronze membership, race bib, and runner’s card; and P350 for 3K/5K, inclusive of an MVR singlet, race bib, and runner’s card.

“By joining the Million Volunteer Run 4, you can help the Red Cross help more people to be more prepared to respond to disasters and calamities,” said PRC Chairman Richard Gordon. “This is a run for humanity. We call it a humanitari­an run for everyone.” Said PRC chairman Richard J. Gordon said in a statement.
