Pub­lic in­vited to join Philip­pine Red Cross’ Mil­lion Vol­un­teer Run 4

The Philip­pine Red Cross (PRC) is invit­ingn the pub­lic to join the Mil­lion Vol­un­teer Run 4 on Oc­to­ber 21 at the Quirino Grand­stand in Manila.

The MVR4, ac­cord­ing to PRC, in­tends to gather peo­ple from all walks of life to run in or­der to help raise funds for the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s hu­man­i­tar­ian causes.

Pro­ceeds from the fun run regis­tra­tion will be used to pur­chase res­cue ve­hi­cles and equip­ment to fur­ther boost PRC’s dis­as­ter re­sponse ca­pa­bil­i­ties.

PRC said in­ter­ested in­di­vid­u­als may reg­is­ter di­rectly to the PRC Na­tional Head­quar­ters in Man­daluy­ong City; PRC Metro Manila chap­ters (Caloocan City, Las Piñas City, Manila, Mal­abon City, Marik­ina City, Pasay City, Quezon City, Rizal, and Valen­zuela), www.mvr. red­; and Chris Sports Out­lets at SM Manila, SM Su­cat, SM North EDSA An­nex, and Mar­ket! Mar­ket! In Taguig.

Mean­while, PRC said that the regis­tra­tion for the run is un­til 7 p.m. of Oc­to­ber 19.

There are also two regis­tra­tion rates for the run: P500 for 3K/5K, in­clu­sive of an MVR sin­glet, PRC bronze mem­ber­ship, race bib, and runner’s card; and P350 for 3K/5K, in­clu­sive of an MVR sin­glet, race bib, and runner’s card.

“By join­ing the Mil­lion Vol­un­teer Run 4, you can help the Red Cross help more peo­ple to be more pre­pared to re­spond to dis­as­ters and calami­ties,” said PRC Chair­man Richard Gor­don. “This is a run for hu­man­ity. We call it a hu­man­i­tar­ian run for ev­ery­one.” Said PRC chair­man Richard J. Gor­don said in a state­ment.
