Comelec sets earlier bidding for voter registration supplies
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced that it will start the bidding process for its additional registration supplies at an earlier date amid the scheduled resumption of its voter’s registration period next week.
Instead of November 10, the date for the submission and opening bids has been reset to November 6, 2017 in "view of the urgency to deliver the goods, in connection to the resumption of continuing registration of voters."
Among the registration materials that would be included in the bidding process are for 2,625,000 sets of Application Form for Registration; 1,575,000 sets of Application Form for Trasfer/ Transfer with Reactivation; 577,500 sets of Application Form for Reactivation of Registration Records; and 603,750 sets of Application Form for Change/Correction of Entries/Inclusion of Records in the Book of Voters.
Comelec will also be looking for suppliers for 153,143 sets of Supplementary Data for PWD/SCs/ICC; and 761,250 sets of Certification for Registration of Applicant whose name is not found in the NLRDV; 5,796 boxes of Continuous Forms; and 3,150 pieces of Pearl 350 Printer Ribbon. Comelec has already allocated
R21,374,371.83 of its budget to acquire these registration materials.
The poll body said interested par- ties, who would like to submit their bids may do so at said date on or before 9 am at the Comelec Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) Secretariat Office at the 7th floor of the Palacio Del Gobernador Building, Intramuros, Manila.
"The Opening of Bids is at 10:00 a.m. of November 6, 2017 at the Comelec Session Hall, 8th floor of the Palacio Del Gobernador Building, Intramuros, Manila," Comelec said in its latest bid bulletin.
