Tandag, SGLG awardee

BUTUAN CITY – The component city of Tandag in Surigao del Norte province will be a recipient of the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) award by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), it was learned yesterday. Tandag City is the only city in northeastern Mindanao (Caraga region) that got the award for the Component City Category. Meanwhile, for the Municipal Category, Hinatuan town, also in Surigao del Sur province will also be a recipient of the SGLG, the DILG 13 said. Other 16 local government units (LGUs) in Caraga will be accorded the same recognition. These are Carmen, Las Nieves, and Santiago, all in Agusan del Norte; Esperanza, San Francisco and Trento of Agusan del Sur; Cagdianao, Dinagat, Loreto, Tubajon of Dinagat Islands; and Claver, Del Carmen, Mainit, Malimono, Sison and Sta.
