MTB Challenge

BULUAN, Maguindanao – More than 100 cyclists from all over Mindanao are expected to converge here today to start festivities for the 44th foundation of Maguindanao. “It’s a significant segment providing more meaning to our annual celebration,” provincial budget office chief Lynette Estandarte said yesterday, referring to the “Mindanao Tri-people Bikers (MTB) Challenge.” Among those confirmed to participate in the event is 52 year-old Totong Nestor, a cyclist from Davao City, who promised to return and continue promoting a “better image” for Maguindanao. The past MTB (Mindanao Tri-people Bikers) Challenge editions drew and average of 420 enthusiasts from Davao, Tacurong, Gen. Santos, Kidapawan, Koronadal and Cotabato cities; Polomolok and Tupi in South Cotabato; Lutayan and Isulan in Sultan Kudarat; Talayan and Buluan in Maguindanao; and the different battalions and brigades of the Army’s Sixth Infantry Division.
