Games Today (The Arena, San Juan City) 4:15 p.m. – Victoria Sports-UST vs Sta. Lucia 7 p.m. – Foton vs Petron

Defending champion Foton stakes its unbeaten record today when it collides with archrival Petron in the 2017 Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at The Arena in San Juan City.

Match is at 7 p.m. with the Tornadoes gunning for their fifth straight victory against the Blaze Spikers in a rematch of the last two year’s championship affairs.

While Foton has succeeded in winning those crowns over the past two seasons, expect Petron not to hand the game on a silver platter as it revs up its own title quest.

Toting a 4-1 win-loss record, the Blaze Spikers are currently at third behind unbeaten F2 Logistics Cargo Movers (3-0) following their 25-16, 2514, 25-14 victory over University of Santo Tomas last week.

Their previous triumph may be a walk in the park, but Petron expects stiff competition against Foton this time as the Tornadoes boast dropping only two sets in all their four wins.

Petron Coach Shaq Delos Santos will bank anew on local stars Mika Reyes, setter Rhea Dimaculangan and Aiza Pontillas, while more reinforcement are expected from imports Lindsay Stalzer, Hillary Hurley and libero Yuri Fukuda to cover all the bases.

A formidable support group bannered by Remy Palma, Cherry Rondina and Ces Molina is also expected from Delos Santos’ roster.
