Pump prices up anew this morning

Motorists will experience an uptick in the prices of fuel this week as companies make adjustment­s in line with the movement of the internatio­nal petroleum market. In separate advisories, independen­t oil players Unioil Petroleum Philippine­s, Inc., PTT Philippine­s, Phoenix Petroleum Philippine­s said they will all adjust the price of their petroleum products effective 6:00 o’clock this morning. These firms will particular­ly increase the price of their diesel prices by R0.60 per liter and gasoline by R0.95 per liter. Seaoil said it will also apply the same adjustment­s, adding that the price of its kerosene will likewise inched up by R0.95 per liter. Big players like Petron, Shell, and Caltex are expected to make the same adjustment­s Last week, oil prices spiked as geopolitic­al tensions between two major oil producers Saudi Arabia and Iran increased.
