Madri­gal is new East­min­com com­man­der

DAVAO CITY – Lt. Gen­eral Be­jamin R. Madri­gal Jr. has been named new com­man­der of the East­ern Min­danao Com­mand (East­min­com), re­plac­ing Gen. Rey Leonardo B. Guer­rero who was re­cently ap­pointed by Pres­i­dent Ro­drigo R. Duterte as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philip­pines (AFP). Madri­gal will of­fi­cially take over as head of East­min­com on Novem­ber 15 from EMC act­ing com­man­der Bri­gadier Gen. Per­fecto Ri­mando in a mil­i­tary change of com­mand cer­e­mony at the Naval Forces East­ern Min­danao Cer­e­mony to be graced by Gen. Guer­rero. Madri­gal, a mem­ber of Philippine Mil­i­tary Academy (PMA) “Sandiwa” Class of 1985, served as com­man­der of South­ern Lu­zon Com­mand based in Camp Gen­eral Nakar in Lu­cena City, La­guna.
