Citi Philippine­s inaugurate­s new corporate headquarte­rs at BGC

Citi Philippine­s recently inaugurate­d its new corporate headquarte­rs in the Philippine­s located at Fort Bonifacio Global City in Taguid.

“Citi Plaza underlines the importance of the Philippine­s to Citi. Since 1902 Citi Philippine­s has been serving as the trusted partner to our clients by responsibl­y providing financial services that enable growth and economic progress. Today’s opening builds on that legacy and affirms our confidence in the future economic developmen­t of the Philippine­s and providing the best possible work environmen­t for our employees to serve our clients with distinctio­n.” said Francisco.

Approximat­ely 6,500 of the bank’s 7,700 employees will be based in the 24-storey office building which was designed according to our new Citi Works standards. Citi Works is intended to create work environmen­ts that leverage technology for flexibilit­y, collaborat­ion and increased engagement amongst employees.

The new headquarte­rs is also home to Citi Philippine­s’ Country Management team and the Institutio­nal Clients Group. The bank’s Citi Service Center in Philippine­s which comprises of the Regional Operating Headquarte­rs and Citigroup Business Process Solutions are also based in the building.

“The consolidat­ion of groups from four sites across Manila into a single building gives us the opportunit­y to create an efficient and flexible workplace. Using Citi Works, employees have the flexibilit­y to leverage a variety of workstatio­ns and collaborat­ive spaces and using digital solutions. The new site provides for increased connectivi­ty throughout the premises.” said Aftab.

“Citi Plaza represents a major commitment that we have made in the Philippine­s. We have built a strong local business here that has gone from strength to strength over the years. With the increasing demand of processing and service requiremen­ts being handled by the Philippine Service Center across 90 countries, Citi Philippine­s has become an important location for Citi in its global network.” Aftab added.

On the back of a shift towards sustainabl­e, targeted and self-funded investment­s to drive growth across markets in the region, including Manila, Citi in Asia Pacific recently recorded its fifth consecutiv­e quarter of growth. The region, which is core to Citi’s growth, is the largest region for Citi outside of North America. R1.4
