- By MARTIN A. SADONGDONG

Police yesterday urged the girlfriend of a 72-year-old businessman who was killed in his condominium unit in Pasay City over the weekend to cooperate with the authorities for the immediate resolution of the case.

Superintendent Gene Licud, Pasay police’s assistant chief of police for operations (ACOPO), said investigators have already identified possible locations of 26-year-old “Everlou,” the girlfriend of Rolando Abesamis.

Abesamis was found dead by his brother, Antonio, already in a state of decomposition inside Room 1614 Park Avenue Mansion, Park Avenue, Barangay 81, Zone 10 last November 25.

“What we know so far is that the investigators have already leads on the possible whereabouts of the girlfriend,” Licud told the Manila Bulletin.

Licud, however, requested not to reveal further details as investigation is on-going.

We are calling on Abesamis’ girlfriend to come to us and issue a statement so that we could find out what really happened on the day that he was killed, Licud said.

If she refused to cooperate, police will treat Everlou as one of the possible suspects.

Aside from Everlou, police are also considering her brother “Rolly” as a person of interest.

Rolly, who recently got out of a drug rehabilitation center, was said to have been frequently visiting and sometimes sleeping in the condo unit of Abesamis, according to Antonio.
