Getting to know two of Asia’s biggest stars when they’re not on cam

We’ve known Sandara Park from the moment she joined Pinoy Big Brother Teen

Edition AND even now that she’s one of the biggest stars in Korea.

Mario Maurer, on the other hand, makes us fall in love over and over again every time we see Crazy Little

Thing Called Love. But behind those perfect smiles and cool styles are Dara and Mario, who are also just like us, living their day to day lives and excited to get to know the Philippines and their Filipino fans.

What’s it like working with each other?

Sandara: It’s been really fun. This is our second project together and Mario is super nice and I enjoy working with him. He’s very professional with his craft but he’s also a little naughty and playful, sometimes.

Mario: Our first project together was Penshoppe and Sandara was really friendly when I met her. I find it nice working with her, with her jokes and sometimes crazy outfits.

Mario, you recently had your Master’s degree in political communication, why did you want to take that course?

Mario: I took my Master’s degree with my mom. We had it because we feel that it can help us manage our business better in Thailand. Education is very important for our family. We’ve always believed that there will always be room for learning. So even though, I have my acting career, I also have other skills that I can be proud of.

What about you, Sandara? Do you have plans on going back to school?

Sandara: When I open a book, I get sleepy (laughs!) So for now, I’d rather focus on my music.

What else are we going to expect from you?

Mario: Now, I’ve been really busy working on movies and shows back in Thailand so I hope my Filipino fans would also watch out for that.

Sandara: I have a new show with my brother Thunder called One Night

Food Trip International where we travel to different and try on their local cuisine.

What else do you want to see and experience here in the Philippines?

Mario: I want to go to Palawan. I’ve seen Dara’s photos when she was there and I think it’s so beautiful. I also want to try adobo and I’m very curious about balut. I think I want to try that. Dara, have you tried it? Sandara: No, I don’t think I can eat

balut. I think I’ve eaten everything here in the Philippines—adobo, sinigang, tinola—but not balut. I want to explore this country even more because when I was working here we were always on airport-event-airport itinerary. Now I think I’ll have more time to explore.

Tell us about your hair care routine.

Sandara: I don’t do much to my hair. I just use Head and Shoulders every day and then I’m ready to style it.

Mario: I always get dandruff so what I do is I use the Head and Shoulders’s shampoo. After rinsing, I put the Head and Shoulders conditioner on it and rinse it after a few minutes. I don’t like having dandruff on my hair that’s why I make sure I take care of it. Sandara Park and Mario Maurer are the new Head and Shoulders Supreme ambassadors.
