2017 Techie Christmas Wishlist
Receiving gifts on Christmas is fun but choosing and giving gifts isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Fortunately for you, finding the goooood techie stuff is our specialty. If you want to be ‘extra’ this Christmas and leave Santa’s boring gifts in the dirt, here are some winner gift ideas:
NINTENDO SWITCH
If your special someone doesn’t have one, go buy him/her a Nintendo Switch. And while you’re at it, make sure he/she buys one for you too – it’s that fun. Nintendo was able to carve a market for itself by not joining Sony and Microsoft’s ‘whocan-make-the-fastest/most-powerful-console’ race; instead, they concentrated on what gamers have been clamoring for: convenience. The Switch isn’t the most powerful console out there – it’s just plain good enough – but you can take it anywhere with you, which, as it turned out, is an incredible unique selling point for a home gaming platform. Plus, playing with others is built into the Switch. If you know someone who likes games and goes through the hellish thoroughfares of Metro Manila every day, the Nintendo Switch is a definite winning choice.

The DJI Spark is a mini drone that has all of DJI’s key technologies, but requires less investment. It’s simple enough that you can take aerial photos using just hand signals, but powerful enough to capture HD video and fly with precision. It’s the perfect starter drone for content creators.

Considering how dangerous it is on the Internet these days, not having a VPN can be crazy. YOUNG LIVING OILS AND DIFFUSER
I cannot vouch for the science of it, but I like the Essential Oils that my wife bought online. I call her an ‘oilbularyo’ and make fun of her for paying so much for the oils’ unproven benefits, but the truth is, I like it. I sleep better when we use the diffuser at night, it smells REALLY nice in the house, and it even helped my son breathe better when he got a cold. If you’re like me who doesn’t believe in all the health and healing that Essential Oils supposedly bring, that’s fine – but get the diffuser and some ‘Pfefferminze’ and ‘Lavendel’.
