Reigning champion Philippine National Police (PNP) and Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS) shoot for the other second round berth in Group A when they clash tomorrow in the 6th UNTV Cup at the Olivarez Sports Center in Parañaque.

Toting similar 3-2 cards, the PNP Responders and the GSIS Furies are expected to go all-out in their 3:30 p.m. showdown.

The winner will join early qualifiers Senate and former champion Armed Forces of the Philippines who have 5-1 and 4-1 records, respectively, in the event organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon for the public servants.

Out to lead PNP is former University of the East player Ollan Omiping, Japhet Cabahug and Harold Sta. Maria.

The Responders, however, will have their hands full against the GSIS Furies who are coming off an inspiring 81-75 win over the Bureau of Fire Protection Firefighters a week ago.

Despite their defeat to the Furies, the Fire Fighters are still in contention having a 3-3 record.

In Group B, Ombudsman shoots for its first win when it tackles Department of Justice in the event offering 14 million to the chosen charity of the champion team.
