I just want him to be super happy. I want him to go and explore the world. I want him to be open to possibilities, to be adventurous.

Like most moms, Georgina Wilson has found deeper meaning in life with the coming of Archie, her and British husband Arthur Burnand’s first child.

“Life was so plain vanilla without a baby and now with a baby it’s like my life has come to life,” she said. “I mean I can’t believe I lived without him.”

Georgina is excited to do everything for her blue-eyed boy as he “really brings life to our household.”

Now that she has a family, the 31-year-old model, TV host manages her time even more efficiently “because I believe every moment counts, every moment is so precious.”

Georgina finds it amazing to “watch a life grow.”

“Every month, he learns something different,” she said. “I think having a child really teaches you how to appreciate everything about life.”

She proudly shared Archie started to walk at 10 months old.

“He has a mind of his own. He really does his own thing and I’m just here to guide him,” she explained, adding that among the important lessons being a mother taught her is she’s not in control of everything. She breastfed the baby for half a year. “Ang hirap pala,” she remarked. “It’s actually so much harder than I thought it’s gonna be and it’s hard kasi I was working na.”

Though a first time mom, Georgina isn’t wary of bringing her son along to different places.

Travelling is nothing new to her. She lived in four countries before her family settled in Manila when she was 10 years old.

Georgina believes bringing baby Archie to different places will help him learn and discover new things. She advises moms to have the courage to take their kids with them to different trips, noting “a baby is more resilient than you give him credit for.”

Archie flew to England when he was just three weeks old. Other places he has been to were Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney, Queenstown, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Paris, and Copenhagen. In the Philippines, the jetsetting babe has been to Siargao and Palawan.

She was surprised Archie enjoys being on a plane, and he would sometimes run up and down the aisle.

“Super excited siya sa lahat. He wants to talk to our seatmates whenever,” she shared.

She suggests for mothers to always come prepared.

“Just have your bag ready with everything and don’t be scared because your baby will be fine and you can always ask for help,” she said.

Though she is confident of being a mom, Georgina learned from other moms, too.

“Saludo ako sa lahat ng mom kasi

As for Georgina’s parenting style, she said, “Honestly, I wanna be his best friend,” she said. “I don’t want to be so strict with him.”

Though a cool mom, she noted she will be strict in disciplining Archie.

“I think if in the future he is rude or just like unpleasant, I think I wouldn’t be okay with that and he will really need a scolding,” she explained.

What are her hopes for Archie?

“I want him to be super happy. I want him to go and explore the world. I want him to be open to possibilities, to be adventurous she shared. “He’s very curious kaya talagang alam ko na he will be a world explorer.”

Georgina wants Archie to be fluent in Filipino, too.

“I want it to be so good. ’Di ba ang puti-puti niya tapos when he opens his mouth ay super Tagalog pala siya,” she related.

Will another baby come soon, we asked.

“I don’t think so, matagal pa ’yan,” she said. “We travel so much, its medyo hard to have more than one so for now I’m kinda enjoying my time with Arch at the moment.”

The model-actress was recently introduced as the first celebrity ambassador of Chicco Philippines, an Italian brand known for its strollers and baby carriers.

According to company head Liza Yao, though the brand has been in the country for 20 years now, they’ve only just recently decided to get an endorser to disseminate the message of Chicco which is “Happiness to mothers and family.”

Georgina, who thinks mommies and babies have a special language of their own, is just happy to be able to represent and partner with them.

“I think it’s important to give children the right things because it somehow speeds up their development,” she said.
