Whether or not to vaccinate

(Part II)

-

•Do you know that different countries have different vaccination policies? In some countries, vaccination is voluntary while in other countries, vaccination is mandatory as part of their health system. In the Philippines, we have a law – Republic Act (RA) No. 10152 known as the Mandatory Infants and Children Health Immunization Act of 2011. Section 3 of RA No. 10152 partly says:

“SEC. 3. Coverage.—The mandatory basic immunization for all infants and children provided under this Act shall cover the following vaccine-preventable diseases: (a) Tuberculosis; (b) Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis; (c) Poliomyelitis; (d) Measles; (e) Mumps; (f) Rubella or German measles; (g) Hepatitis-B; (h) H. Influenza type B (HIB); and (i) Such other types as may be determined by the Secretary of Health in a department circular.

“The mandatory basic immunization shall be given for free at any government hospital or health center to infants and children up to five (5) years of age. x x x”

In the US, vaccination (immunization) is mandatory unless an exemption is granted before children enroll in public schools. Exemptions are granted in some cases like cases of allergies to the ingredients/components used in vaccinations.

•Do you know that some parents have been questioning the US Supreme Court ruling that vaccination of children is mandatory in school. The rebelling parents have been advocating the freedom of parents to refuse any medical procedure, including the right to refuse a vaccination. Freedom of choice is what they are advocating rather than mass mandatory immunization. One publicized case in US was the complaint of a mother whose child became autistic after a vaccine shot;

•Do you know that internationalbased studies have shown as an example that vaccines is a cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) which estimates range from 5,000 to 10,000 cases each year in the USA alone. One study found the peak incidence of SIDS occurred at the age of 2 to 4 months in the US, precisely when the first two (2) routine immunizations are given; while another study found a clear pattern of correlation extending three (3) weeks after immunization. Another separate study found that 3,000 children die within 4 days of vaccination each year in the USA; (Reference: Resolution filed in Congress by former Congressman Luis R. Villafuerte)

•Do you know that vaccines depress the body’s immune system functions which makes a person susceptible and open to developing many other diseases such as all types of cancers, AIDS, autism, autoimmune disease, nervous system disorders, eye damage, cardiac complications, crohn’s disease, birth defects, parkinsons, pancreatitis, allergies, alzheimers, arthritis, ADD/ADHD, blood reactions, brain damage, convulsions, cerebral palsy, kidney disorders, meningitis, immune suppression, hearing loss, gullain-barre syndrome, multiple sclerosis, skin diseases such as: syphilis, phthisis, scrofula, erysipelas, eczema and almost all diseases of the skin as well as other chronic and debilitating and, in many ways, painful immunologic and neurological disorders. These diseases according to Dr. William Hitchman (and attested by numerous other medical doctors, scientists, health experts and investigators) have been conveyed, occasioned or intensified by vaccination. •Do you know that a so-called global vaccine injury compensation system is spreading in many countries to pay for those victims of vaccination.

The message I am trying to convey is that there are risks to every vaccine and therefore before vaccinating, we really need to be certain that the benefits will outweigh those risks. We should really do our homework before subjecting our children and loved ones to any vaccine. The first step is to simply search the internet on a variety of research studies and on vaccine safety, vaccine risks and vaccine-related statistics. (To be continued)

May your life be enriched with b o u n t i f u l b l e s s i n g s t h i s Yu l e t i d e Season. A joyful Christmas to your loved ones! (For comments/reactions please send to Ms. Villafuerte’s email: villafuerte_nelly@yahoo.com).
