Do the stars stick to their New Year’s resolutions?
Like regular folks, the stars’ lists involve health, outlook, work, personal happiness and love life.
And so it’s a new year – what plans have you made for the next 12 months? Well, you’re not the only one. Even the stars reflect on the things they have done in the previous year and commit to positive changes henceforth. Like regular folks, these involve health, outlook, work, personal happiness and love life.
Most of the stars post their New Year’s resolutions on their social media accounts, making it easier to review if they stuck to them or not as we are about to do.
With 2018 here, it’s time to ask: Do the stars stick to their New Year’s resolutions? Do you? Only God knows for sure.
Sleep early, no to junk food
Maja Salvador once said she wanted to become healthier by going on a balanced diet and doing more workouts. The actress also intended to focus on her finances, aiming to save more.
Carlo Aquino once said in an ABS-CBN News article that he wanted to quit smoking.
Krystal Reyes aimed to have more mature outlook in life.
Manilyn Reynes wanted to lose weight and learn how to play musical instruments.
Bianca Umali’s goal at one point was to eat less and read 100 books in a calendar year.
Vice Ganda wanted to take it slow in his career and focus more on taking care of his health.
Alex Gonzaga vowed to stop eating junk food. Good luck with that.
Same with Erich Gonzales.
Luis Manzano, who has a sweet tooth, wanted to stop pigging out.
Alexa Ilacad and Nash Aguas wanted to try sleeping early. The actress also made a list on her journal and number one on it is to stay away from carbs and to always smile and be happy.
Fearless, can’t be clumsy
In an Instagram post last 2016 about this time of the year, Lovi Poe said she is ready
to be “fearless,” maintaining, “When did being ‘okay’ become good enough? Time to aim for happiness and self-fulfillment… If it means taking some risks and stepping out of your comfort zone.”
Bianca Gonzalez wish for 2013 was to be “fearless,” too.
“’Yung mas konti ’yung kinakatakutan. ’Yung kung may gusto kang sabihin o gawin, kung natatakot ka dapat ito na ’yung moment na go ka,” she said in an ABS-CBN News article. Maxene Magalona’s resolution was plain and simple – no to negativity. Eugene Domingo vowed to be a more responsible citizen in 2011.
“Bilang Filipino, kahit gaano kaliit na batas na pwede natin sundin, sundin mo ’di ba? Pagpila, pagbayad ng buwis, sumunod ka,” she said. It still sounds like a good resolution to this day, doesn’t it? Nikki Valdez once aimed to control her temper since she easily gets irritated. “Every year it’s always my temper ang bilis ko magalit,” she shared. Diether Ocampo reiterated he wanted to focus on helping the less fortunate. “Isang programa ng K.I.D.S. Foundation is magtayo ng sports facilities and training center. Mahirap gawin pero kaya sa tulong ng
mga private sectors,” he revealed. Dennis Trillo said he wanted to be a good person who does even more good deeds.
Julie Anne San Jose wanted to stop being clumsy (haha, oops, sorry).
Glaiza de Castro aimed to focus on more positive things and become more optimistic. She said she has let some blessing pass over the past years because she was overwhelmed with stress.
Daniel Padilla wanted to become more understanding. He hoped to have deeper, broader way of thinking, and become a more mature individual.
Kris Aquino had 20 resolutions in 2016 mostly about prioritizing her family and health. Her other resolutions were to focus on just a small circle of friends who are inspiring and positive, as well as “letting go of the one who didn’t have the ability to hold on.” That sounds like…
Glorious careers
Andi Eigenmann and child star Zaijian Jaranilla’s resolutions both concerned their careers.
