Games Today (Pasig City Sports Center) 3 p.m. – NHA vs Malacañang-PSC 4:30 p.m. – Senate vs AFP

Top seed and two-time champion Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and second-ranked National Housing Authority (NHA) hope to arrange a title showdown for the first time when clash with their respective semis rivals in the 6th UNTV Cup tomorrow at the Pasig City Sports Center.

The AFP Cavaliers, who finished with a league-best 9-1 record in the tworound elims, battle the Senate Defenders at 4:30 p.m. while the NHA Builders collide with the Malacañang-Philippine Sports Commission at 3 p.m.

The Cavaliers and the Builders need just to prevail tomorrow to set up a title clash which is a best-of-three affair.

Both AFP and NHA earned outright semis berths aside from earning twiceto-beat privileges in the semis of the event organized by UNTV president and CEO Daniel Razon.

AFP, however, is hard-pressed to repeat over the Defenders since the latter are fresh from eliminating last year’s champion Philippine National Police (PNP) Responders in their quarterfinal series.

Though the stellar performances of former PBA player Jeff Sanders, Gari Sevilla and James Ryan Mangaran, the Defenders downed the Responders, 7466, last Sunday.

The Kamao, on the other hand, earned the right to face the Builders by crushing the two-time champions Judiciary Magis, 79-64.

The chosen charity of the champion team in the annual event for public servants will receive 14 million while the runner-up’s charity will get 12 million.
