Lopez aviation firm renews Galoc contract
INAEC Aviation Corporation, a transport firm privately-owned by Lopez Inc. has renewed its agreement with Galoc Production Company (Galoc) for the provision of crew transport services to Galoc.
The firm is a multi-mission company providing a wide range of aviation services, including air charters, both domestic and international, aircraft management, medical evacuation, and fixed base operations.
Galoc, a subsidiary of Nido Petroleum Limited, is engaged in oil exploration, drilling, and production operations in an oil field located offshore of Palawan Island.
INAEC and Galoc initially entered into a partnership in 2012 with a fiveyear contract for INAEC to provide helicopter and other transport services to Galoc.
For such contract, INAEC constructed a hangar in El Nido, Palawan, complete with facilities and equipment, including a dedicated helicopter, to fully support the operations there.
“INAEC Aviation has been providing helicopter support and also ad hoc fixed wing services to the Galoc operations for five years,” said Galoc Operations Manager James Hogan.
He added that, “during this time, we have received very good service from their aircraft and ground support team. We have not recorded any significant incidents and have experienced excellent flying services from them.”
Hogan said INAEC “addressed our concerns in a timely and efficient manner and are responsive to our requests and recommendations. They have truly been an asset to our offshore operations, and we are happy to continue our relationship with INAEC.”
“Safety has always been the foremost driver in INAEC’s operations, and this is reflected in the way we do things, from our dispatch to the maintenance of our aircraft to the flights themselves,” said INAEC President Jay Lopez.
He noted that, “it is through our relationships with discerning clients like Galoc that we are able to further improve our operations so that we can honestly say that INAEC is one Filipino company whose performance can be benchmarked according to international standards.”
With the renewal of this partnership with Galoc, INAEC remains to be the sole air transport service provider for the offshore oil and gas producers (OGP) in the Philippines, including Philodrill Corporation and Shell Philippines Exploration B.V.
