Family of 3 busted in drug raid
ISULAN, Sultan KudaratPolice anti-narcotics operatives arrested Saturday a couple and their son for operating a drug den in a village here.
Sr. Supt. Raul Supiter, Sultan Kudarat police director, said lawmen, led by Supt. Celestino Daniel, Isulan police chief, swooped down on the house of the suspects, Bairuden Sumensil, his wife, Bebeng and son, Aljhon in Barangay Impao, Isulan which resulted in the seizure of several grams of shabu, drug paraphernalia and a .45 caliber pistol.
Police tagged the arrested suspects as notorious drug traffickers who also maintained a drug den inside their residential compound.
Police said the suspects are engaged in rice feed trading which served as their front for illegal drug trade.
“The illicit activities of the suspects were closely monitored before their arrest was carried out,” Supiter said.
Meanwhile, operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency have dismantled a drug den in Datu Odin Sinsuat following the arrest of a suspected operator and his patrons last Saturday.
Juvenal Azurin, PDEA regional director for the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, identified the drug den operator as Juherry Abdul who was arrested after PDEA operatives and personnel of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group who raided the suspect’s house which also served as a drug den in Barangay Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat.
