With its ideal location at the heart of Metro Manila, DMCI Homes’ Tivoli Garden Residences easily tops the list of favorite shooting spots of cityscape photographers.

Nikon Philippines brand influencer Cris Magsino, for one, considers the Iris tower in the 2.7-hectare community in Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong City as the top condominium building

Shell, a leader in power, energy and gas technology, recently partnered with Liter of Light to donate solar-powered house lights to around 100 Dumagat families living within the Angat Dam in Bulacan.

The campaign forms part of the company’s ‘Less Waste, More Light’ advocacy and was made possible through the Shell Retail group. It also forms part of the energy company’s innovative Access to Energy (A2E) program that aims to reduce carbon footprint while providing sustainable light using cleaner energy.

The resort-inspired community’s excellent location and proximity to key cities with views of picturesque lines of high-rise buildings, gives a good vantage point to get a good composition, Magsino shared.

“As a landscape and cityscape photographer, having a good vantage of the Dumagat tribe in Bulacan, receiving a solar-powered house light from Silvana Diaz of Liter of Light. Tivoli Garden Residences provides several spots that offer interesting compositions for a cityscape photograph,” he said.

Led by Magsino, Nikon Philippines in partnership with DMCI Homes, recently led a free cityscape photography workshop dubbed as “Urbanscapes” at the roof deck of the manager; Lorrie Ramirez, payment and loyalty manager; Millicent Ngo, convenience retail manager PH; Sankie Simbulan, social investment & social performance manager; and Karla Zarate, Shell external relations manager for brand. Landscape photography enthusiasts were taught proper camera handling and basic post-production techniques during the seminar.

“The deck provides an unobstructed view of the metro that allows you to marvel at the city skyline spanning several cities from Makati, Mandaluyong, Pasig, and as far as Pasay as well as enjoy both the beauty of sunrise and sunset panorama,” Magsino noted.

“Based on places that I have been to, this tops my list.”

Located near the Makati-Man- USG Boral, a leader in building products technology, announced the availability of its EasyFinish System, a customized cement render replacement system alternative to traditional levelling methods that helps contractors and homeowners be four times more productive with more than half the time saved.

Contractors and homeowners would agree that interior walls and ceiling surfaces will only look perfect if they are properly levelled and any dents, holes, cracks, scratches and damages are mended and smoothened prior to painting or decorative treatment. Many would also agree that time is money, and any reduction in construction time translates to substantial cost savings.

With the new EasyFinish System applied onto masonry walls such as brick, time consuming and laborious daluyong Bridge, Tivoli Garden Residences offers a serene retreat amidst the bustling metropolis. It is the first property to feature the developer’s proprietary Lumiventt technology which is an architectural innovation that allows natural lighting and airflow to permeate the building through Sky Patios and breezeways.

A multi-awarded photographer, Magsino has been shooting commercially since 2006 but only started doing serious landscape and cityscape photography in 2013 as a way to escape the pressures of commercial photography.

“Landscape photography gave me a relaxing way of doing both things I love and enjoy which are travel and photography. It is one of the genre wherein you get to enjoy nature or the city view in a relaxed pace,” he related.

Aspiring photographers, he noted, should have tons of patience to be able to capture stunning landscape photos. cement render or plaster finish is eliminated. Contractors and homeowners will now have the option of dry construction that is not only fast and easy for semiskilled contractors to install, but also low on maintenance costs and is environmentally efficient over a building’s life cycle.

Designed as a solution to site finishing application and performance issues such as irregular wall levels and unsightly cracks, the product uses USG Boral’s noncombustible plasterboard with a specially formulated bonding compound to ensure smoothest walls completed with more than half the time saved.

Durable and proven to last for years, the versatile EasyFinish System covers four finishing systems that cater to all types of irregular walls.
