The faces of Israel supporters

- By NELLY FAVIS VILLAFUERTE “Dear Villafuerte, “Dear Ms. Villfuerte, http://www. dispatch.com/news/20180210/ israel-downs-iranian-drone-andstrikes-syria-f-16-crashes/1)

LAST week, I mentioned that there are millions of people all over the world who are standing firm to support Israel. Whenever I write articles about Israel, about the Israeli people, about their history, about their struggles, and persecutions, and about their stunning and awesome contributions to improve the quality of our lives – I receive many inspiring letters from readers of this column who profess support for Israel and its people.

Let me share with you two letters – one from a reader in Papua New Guinea and another a professor in India – that I recently received this month. It is a blessing that my Gentle Breeze articles are being posted online by Manila Bulletin. Thru this advance technology, mass computer connectivity all over the world has become a reality – and any amount of information can be transmitted almost to any place in the world at the speed of light – including my Gentle Breeze articles. *** Here are the copies of the e-mail, letters (unedited): Letter No. 1: Robson Urai – in Papua New Guinea” Letter No. 2: Prof Rakesh Sudan”

Last December, 2017, I also received a letter from D. Friedman of Jerusalem, Israel, as follows: “Shalom from Jerusalem, “Thanks for your recent article, I appreciate your heart and the content of it.

“You did get 2 facts wrong, I believe, unless you are talking about something that I don’t know about.

“In 1948, when Israel became a state, there were 650,000 Jewish people living here, not 650 as your article has in it. I think you are addressing the population over here in 1947-1948 when we did face 5 Arab armies, as your article then mentions.

“Also, in America today, there are closer to 330 million people, not 250 million people, living there.

“Just FYI. Thanks again, and a big shalom from Israel, D. Friedman, Jerusalem, Israel”

Recently (last February 10, 2018) to be exact – the Israeli military shot down an Iranian drone that Israel claims intruded on Israeli airspace. Syria military and its allies denied Israel’s claim that its airspace was violated and said that the Iranian drone was on a regular mission gathering intelligence on Islamic State militants. (Reference:

The Iranian drone had been dispatched from Syrian territory. Israel retaliated by sending a mission to strike Iranian drone installations in Syria. According to a news report from Israel, “the air raids launched by Israel hit 12 Iranian, and Syrian military targets, including three aerial defence batteries and four Iranian targets that are parts of Iran’s military establishment in Syria.” (Reference: Israel suffered casualty too. The two pilots who were wounded were forced to abandon the F-16 fighter jet that crashed in Northern Israel after being hit by massive anti-aircraft fire from Syria.

*** From the Biblical account, it is prophesied that Israel will never cease to be at war with its enemies until the end times climaxing in the battle of all battles – the Battle of Armageddon. We, who are praying and supporting the Jewish nation of Israel know (from Bible prophecy) that Israel will come out victorious and will exist throughout eternity.
