DepEd reminder: Register for PEPT exam now

The Department of Education (DepEd) has reminded prospective registrants for the 2017 Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) to register for the examination now.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones, in DepEd Memorandum No. 34 series of 2018, announced the schedule of the national PEPT for 2017 is on April 22, 2018for Luzon cluster and April 29, 2018 for the Visayas and Mindanao clusters.

The PEPT is administered by DepEd through the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA). Briones said that the registration of applicants for the regular examination will be held in the schools division offices (SDOs) from February 9 to March 31, 2018.

Briones said that the total number of registered applicants every testing center in all SDOs shall be submitted to the BEA office of the Directors, through the Education Assessment Division, on or before April 6 by the designated Division Testing Coordinators (DTC).

The prospective registrants should be Filipino learners from non-formal and informal education programs; learners who have incomplete or no record of formal schooling; learners with back subjects or one failed subjects in learning areas such as English, Filipino, Math, Science, and Araling Panlipunan; learners who need grade level standard assessment; learners who are overage for their grade level and learners from schools without government permit.
