BIR revamp

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commission­er Caesar R. Dulay yesterday carried out another round of personnel reorganiza­tion affecting almost 80 key field officials nationwide, including revenue district officers (RDO) and collection division chiefs.

The BIR chief issued the latest travel assignment orders after ordering similar reorganiza­tions during the past weeks and months in a bid to bolster the tax collection campaign to raise more than 12 trillion this year.

Among the RDOs given new assignment­s were Mahinardo Mailig from Muntinlupa to East Makati, Ignacio Camba from North Nueva Ecija to Muntinlupa, Rey Manalili from Lucena City to Plaridel, Bulacan, Vicente Gamad from Palawan to Intramuros, Renato Ruiz from Marikina City to Cubao, Amparo Duque from chief of the VAT credit division to RDO Marikina, Luis Alberto from Cainta to San Pablo City, Ray Geli from San Pablo City to Cainta, Arnulfo Galapia from Vigan City to South Quezon City, Vicky Reinante from South Quezon City to South Makati, Benjamin Virtucio, Jr. from Trece Martirez City to Cabanatuan City and Simplcio Cabantac Jr. from Tarlac to Trece Martirez.

The new collection chiefs of the Metro Manila revenue regions are Ricky Gatchalian for Manila, Marivic Tulio for Quezon City, Alice Gonzales for Makati and Alicia Palmaria for Caloocan.
