Robinsons, PayMaya expand collaborat­ion

PayMaya, the digital financial services arm of PLDT, Inc. and Smart’s Voyager Innovation­s, is expanding its collaborat­ion with various brands under Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. to let more Filipinos experience cashless payments via their mobile phones.

Buyers can now pay via PayMaya in branches of Robinsons Retail Holdings, from Robinsons Department Store, Robinsons Supermarke­t, Robinsons Appliances, Robinsons Builders, True Value, True Home, Handyman, Toys R Us, Topshop, Topman, Dorothy Perkins, Burton Menswear, Miss Selfridge, Warehouse, G2000, Daiso Japan, Southstar Drug, The Generics Pharmacy to Ministop.

This is an expansion of PayMaya’s earlier deployment at Robinsons Galleria and Ministop.

“We recognize the role that mobile technology plays in the lives of our loyal shoppers, which is why we have partnered with PayMaya to enable QR payments within the stores of our affiliate brands,” says Johnson Go, Robinsons Department Store General Manager.

The partnershi­p is part of the PLDT Group’s initiative­s for financial inclusion, stressed Manuel V. Pangilinan, Chairman at PLDT, Smart, Voyager and PayMaya Philippine­s.

Using PayMaya QR, customers no longer have to handle cash when paying at the counter – all they need to do is scan the QR code displayed at cashier counters with their PayMaya app.
