Designing and building properties that are of value is at the core of developer Greenfield Development Corporation’s vision. It aims to develop lands with respect for nature while infusing technological advancements that suit the everyday demands of fast-paced urban living.

“The way forward in the real estate landscape is to be able to build communities that will stay relevant from one generation to the next,” said Atty. Duanne A.X. Santos, Greenfield EVP and GM. “So we make sure to build master-planned communities that are well-designed, are eco-friendly, and use innovative infrastructure so that they are future-ready for homeowners and urban dwellers.”

Since 1961, Greenfield has been firm in its commitment to build carefully planned townships that are now small cities in their own right, spurring growth in the areas where they are located. Two of the developer’s famed projects are the Greenfield District in Mandaluyong City and Greenfield City in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Greenfield is one of the pioneering developers in Mandaluyong, as the city played host to the then EDSA Central during the early 1970s.

“We immediately saw the potential of Mandaluyong for economic growth, given its strategic location in the middle of Metro Manila’s golden triangle of Makati, Manila, and Quezon City,” explained Santos.

The EDSA Central transport terminal mall became a bustling hub for commerce and transportation. About forty years later, the building was transformed and renamed Pavilion. The developer also converted the surrounding area into a masterplanned community. Hence, Greenfield District was born.

“In the recent years, Mandaluyong City was dubbed the ‘New Tiger’ by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) because of the city’s growth potential,” said Santos. “This validates that we are on the right track in developing the area. Greenfield District has always been positioned to help drive activity and push for a healthier living and working environment.”

Greenfield also brought its visionary approach in Sta. Rosa, Laguna with Greenfield City – a 400-hectare self-sustaining network of mixed-use communities. Known as a “city within a park,” the development has helped shape the Lion City of the South by melding residential parks, commercial hubs, and business centers.

The launch of the developer’s Paseo de Sta. Rosa in 1998 as part of the Greenfield City masterplan served as a game changer for the suburb. The al fresco mall eventually became a weekend destination for urban dwellers looking for bargain finds at international outlet stores and for delicious dishes and beverages from artisanal restaurants.

Greenfield was also the first to introduce the concept of a residential park in the South. The 30-hectare Pramana Residential Park provides a one-of-a-kind, nature-rich lifestyle amidst the modern comfort provided by Asian-inspired design homes and top quality amenities.

Meanwhile, the newer Solen Residences span 55-hectares and features the same wide, green spaces, amenities, and a 1.6-hectare man-made lake.
