Far Eastern University guns for the third Final Four berth when it squares off with dangerous Adamson today in UAAP women’s volleyball at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Match is at 2 p.m. with the Lady Tamaraws eyeing their third straight semifinal appearance and a seat in the next phase Final with De La Salle and Ateneo.

Sporting a 7-4 card at third place, FEU hopes to ride on the momentum of its four-set win over University of the Philippines and to duplicate its 25-19, 27-29, 25-19, 25-19 first-round triumph over Adamson last Feb. 10.

FEU coach George Pascua is leaning on their sharp serves to set up the offense, but Adamson mentor Air Padda boasts of an equally stronger assault team anchored on Jema Galanza and Mylene Paat.

Padda, however, is looking for mental toughness from her stalwarts after succumbing to Ateneo, 24-26, 25-19, 2125, 26-24, 15-12, two weeks ago.

“They’re a team that gets really affected and shocked and thrown off guard. We got to ‘bawi’ quickly and get ready for FEU,” Padda said.

While Padda has her dynamic duo, Pascua’s leading blocker Celine Domingo and spiker Bernadeth Pons banner his arsenal.
