After six years with them, Derek Ramsay bids network TV5 farewell. The actor posted it a few days ago. He became a Kapatid talent in 2012 after being a Kapamilya star for seven years. Derek posted a photo with TV5 executive Chot Reyes and his manager Jojie Dingcong along with his goodbye message. “Thank you TV5 for 6 great years. Thank you for trusting and believing in me. The projects and memories here will always be cherished.You always made me feel that i am truly family,” his post read. In 2015, Derek renewed his contract with TV5 and remained loyal to the network while other celebritie­s transferre­d to ABS-CBN and GMA. He expressed his well wishes to the Kapatid network with their new direction, which is now more focused on sports and news.

“Wishing you all the best in your new direction for the network. Kidlat signing out for now. Love you all,” he added.

The actor used the hashtags for the shows he did for TV5, namely “Kidlat,” “Amazing Race,” “Mac And Chiz,” “For Love Or Money,” and “Extreme Series: Kaya Mo Ba ’To.”

His manager Jojie also took to Instagram to thank TV5 and Coach Chot.

“Grateful always for the friendship forged with you dear @coachot... thank you for your kindness and awesome positive spirit. You are a good man... a true gentleman. May our good God bless you and your future endeavors. We love you coach, and again thank you! Cheers,” he posted.

While with TV5, Derek was allowed to do several movies, including “Ex With Benefits,” “All Of You,” and “Love Is Blind.”

Derek is reported to be doing a movie with Star Cinema. His farewell to TV5 also created speculatio­ns among netizens that he might return to ABS-CBN.
