Mended and splendid

JoshLia is stronger than ever, thank you

‘Kasi pinag-uusapan pa nila, kami tapos na doon sa issue.’

With a recent minor controversy behind them, it’s easy to believe Julia Barretto when she says this about her onscreen partner Joshua Garcia: “There are many beautiful things I can possibly say about this guy.”

But even before she could start lavishing him with praise, Joshua had already turned on the charm.

“‘Nung nakasama ko siya sa movie saka ko siya nakilala. Doon ko na-capture ’yung tunay na siya, kung ga’no kabuti ’yung puso niya. Kung gano siya kalambing,” he said.

Well, as Julia was saying, for her Joshua is “this guy (who) has witnessed me in my highest and my lowest, at my worst and my best.”

The actor revealed she always reminds him to pray.

“Ang dami niyang magandang impluwensya sa’kin,” was how he put it.

Julia described Joshua as a good person, a good son and a good partner. “He puts his family first before him that sometimes he forgets to take care of himself. He works so hard for them,” the actress said.

Last April 19, JoshLia, Janella Salvador and the OPPO Smartphone’s board members launched the latest OPPO F7 phone.

Julia is especially excited because the advertisement tackles a relevant issue, bullying.

The commercial also shows the “real Julia” off-cam. It’s important to her seeing how some people can be so judgmental of others.

“Still, I won’t let these things affect me or get to me. What really matters to me are the people who truly know me and the things I’ve been through,” the actress vowed.

About that

The rumored couple recently became controversial when Joshua complimented a girl wearing a swimsuit on Instagram. Though none of them have confirmed if they’re committed, rumors came in that the love team broke up.

At the interview, JoshLia chose not to add fuel to the fire. The actress pled to just let the issue run its course.

“Josh and I have already spoken and explained both our sides. We ask for that to be the first and last time we talk about what went our way. Let’s not glorify so much what happened,” the actress said.

“Kasi pinag-uusapan pa nila, kami tapos na doon sa issue,” Joshua rejoined.

At the event, Joshua kneeled in front of Julia as they sang Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” a very special song for them. Does this have a deeper meaning?

The actor said his priority now is to earn Julia’s trust again.

“Everybody who gets through a challenge comes out a better and stronger person,” Julia simply said.

Reel thing

In 2017, JoshLia made two movies and these were “I Love You To The Stars And Back” and “Unexpectedly Yours” with the Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla.

Julia revealed there is another movie to watch out for. “You will find out who we’re gonna be working with. We’re so excited,” the actress said.

Under Star Cinema and directed by Giselle Andres, the coming film is a rom-com.

“Ang lupit nito!” Joshua promised.

Kasi pinag-uusapan pa nila, kami tapos na doon sa issue.
