GMA-7 still rules nationwide TV ratings
GMA NETWORK sustained its lead in the nationwide television ratings competition in the first quarter of 2018 based on the latest data from Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
In the first three months of the year based on overnight data, the network posted an average of 42.1 percent total day people audience share in the National Urban Television Audience Measurement (NUTAM), which was 3.5 points ahead of its closest rival.
GMA continued to lead in NUTAM’s morning block with a people audience share of 40.5 percent, while maintaining its strong performance in the afternoon block with 46.2 percent as against its rival’s 36.2 percent.
The Kapuso Network likewise won across all day parts in its bailiwicks, Urban Luzon and Mega Manila, which respectively account for 72 and 59 percent of all urban viewers in the country.
Award-winning news magazine program “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS)” remained the most watched GMA show nationwide in the first quarter and was followed by primetime drama series “Kambal, Karibal.”
Soon on GMA Telebabad will be the Network’s much anticipated series “The Cure.” Set to premiere this May is the romantic comedy series “Inday Will Always Love You” starring Barbie Forteza, Derrick Monasterio and Juancho Trivino.
Other new shows are “Extraordinary Love” with superstar Nora Aunor in a special role along with Cherie Gil; and musical romantic comedy series “My Guitar Princess” starring Julie Anne San Jose, Gil Cuerva and Kiko Estrada.
