Seven people were killed in four separate incidents between 2:55 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. yesterday, according to the Quezon City police.

Three suspected carnappers were killed around 3 a.m. following a shootout with police along C.P. Garcia Avenue near the Philippine Red Cross.

The suspects had earlier robbed Henry Camarines of his day’s earnings and belongings and stole the taxi cab he was driving.

Camarines, 43, told police that two of the suspects flagged him along Commonwealth Avenue and asked him to go to West Avenue to pick up the third suspect.

The cab driver was told to proceed to Barangay Mariana, but the suspects announced the holdup before reaching the destination. They dropped the victim who immediately reported the incident in the nearby police station.

Personnel from Police Station 11 conducted a checkpoint along University Avenue in Barangay San Vicente and spotted the carnapped vehicle with plate number UVC 993.

Instead of stopping, the suspects avoided the checkpoint and fled, triggering a brief chase.

Police said the suspects opened fire while on the run, forcing the policemen to respond.

The suspects, whose identities are still being determined, died on the spot.

Aside from the firearms, bladed weapons and six sachets of shabu were recovered from the slain suspects.

The victim’s wallet containing at least P5,000 was recovered and returned.

Four drug suspects died in two separate buy-bust operations.

First to fall was a certain Joel who had sold P500 worth of illegal drugs to an undercover policeman at 2:55 a.m. near the corner of Samar and Sto. Domingo Streets.

Police said Joel resisted arrest and drew his firearm. He was shot dead. Recovered from the scene was the suspect’s caliber 38 revolver, spent shells, six sachets of shabu and the marked money.

At around 3:15 a.m., a drug suspect, whom police identified as Marjun Clemente, was killed in another buy bust in Barangay Bagong Pagasa.

Clemente was standing in front of his house in Sebastian Street when he realized that his cohort was dealing with an undercover cop. Clemente allegedly opened fire, hitting the right hand of PO2 Eddieson Guillermo.

Other policemen shot Clemente who was declared dead on arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital.

The other suspect, identified as Nicole Rosales, was arrested.

Recovered from the suspects were a caliber Armscor revolver and four sachets of shabu.

The sun was already up when two drug suspects were killed in a shootout after another buy-bust operation in Barangay Kristong Hari.

The suspects, known only as Bong and Lito, shot it out with the policemen who recovered a 9mm pistol, a caliber 38 revolver, several sachets of shabu and the marked money.
