THE Department of Education (DepEd) has reactivated Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) with the opening today June 4, of classes for School Year (SY) 2018-2019 in all public schools nationwide.

*** Education Secretary Leonor Briones said that OBE will “ensure that all our learners are properly enrolled and able to attend school on the first day of classes by addressing problems, queries, and other concerns commonly encountered by our stakeholders at the start of the school year.”

*** Under the OBE, the DepEd Central Office (CO) has set up the OBE Information and Action Center (IAC) at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan while regional and division offices are likewise to operate a command center.

The DTI said it released the suggested retail price (SRP) before the opening of classes to assist consumers in their purchase of school items.

The DTI added that the “Gabay sa Pamimili ng School Supplies” was published as early as May 12, 2018 and is posted on the DTI’s e-Presyo, which can be accessed through www.e-presyo. dti.gov.ph.
