Acting as talk show host during the media huddle for their movie “I Love You, Hater,” Kris Aquino herself queried the two by first asking Joshua if he loves Julia.
“The ball is in your court. I’m sorry I still use that term. Joshua has to answer that. Can I conduct the interview since you have waited? Joshua Garcia, the question, do you love Julia Barretto?” Kris asked. JoshLia fans in the studio shrieked thunderously. While Joshua answered in the affirmative, he balked at the follow-up question of Kris. When asked if Julia is already his girlfriend, the former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate felt it was not time to address the issue. “At the right time, Tita,” he told Kris in Filipino. That said, Kris asked Joshua what promise he could give Julia to assure her about his love for her. “I’m sorry for my mistake, but I promise to be a better man for you, for us,” Joshua said. As to the question about the last person he loved and hated, Joshua alluded to himself. “Myself,” he quipped. “I’ve done several wrong decisions (in life), but I still need to love myself. Baba (Julia) taught me to love myself first.” Seemingly justifying Joshua’s answer, Julia said, “There are some decisions that the person you love will make, or made, or will make, but at the end of the day, you will still love the person.You may hate what they’re doing, but it can never overcome the love that you have for the person.”
