7-Eleven expands in Region 2, opens 2 Nueva Viscaya branches

-

Ramping up its expansion in the provinces, Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC), the exclusive licensor of globalleading convenience store chain brand 7-Eleven in the country, reached another milestone with the opening of its first two branches in Nueva Vizcaya.

The convenience stores, located in the municipalities of Bambang and Santa Fe, will cater mostly to the residential and commercial sites of the province with a consolidated population of more than 70,000. The town of Bambang is a 1st class municipality while Santa Fe is dubbed the “gateway” to Nueva Vizcaya and the rest of the Cagayan Valley Region.

The initial openings formally signal PSC’s entry in Region 2, specifically in the provinces of Cagayan, Isabela and Nueva Vizcaya.

While the region is yet to expect local and national government projects in terms of malls, airports and additional universities, 7-Eleven is optimistic that with its continuous show of progress, Nueva Vizcaya will soon become an attractive investment venue for various businesses like c-stores.

“It has a big potential in terms of high store sales, and we are looking into the continuous development of the province with the current presence of commercial banks, other local retailers and food chains,” said Ulysses Borral, PSC Business Development Division Head.

On top of bringing 7-Eleven’s brand of modern C-store shopping experience, novelty items, and conveniences closer to the people of Nueva Vizcaya, the new branches are more importantly seen to spur economic development in various segments in the said areas as these will pave the way for additional business opportunities for growth-minded entrepreneurs and jobs for Novo Vizcayanos.

Apart from Region 2, 7-Eleven is successfully establishing solo brand leadership in the Visayas (Leyte, Tacloban and the rest of the eastern part of the province) and Mindanao (Surigao del Sur and Norte and Sultan Kudarat).

Furthermore, PSC has also successfully expanded retail operations via a mall-based expansion which further strengthened its relationship among prominent project developers in the country while also establishing 7-Eleven’s unique business flexibility edge over competitors.

As of June 2018, PSC operates a total of 2,386 store networks, with 1,262 franchise-owned and 1,124 corporateowned stores.

7-Eleven offers suitable partners two ways to benefit from a proven system: Regular New Store Franchise (open a new 7-Eleven store), and Property Conversion (convert an established business or properties into a 7-Eleven franchise).
