ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Bureau of Customs (BOC) in this city has collected P28,576,460 million for the month of June, thus, surpassing its target goal collection of P23 million for the month by about P5,576,460 million. BOC District 11 Collector Atty Lyceo C Martinez said yesterday this was the third consecutiv­e month that BOC-Zamboanga was able to surpass the monthly target goal collection set by BOC central office Manila. Martinez also reported that his office was also able to auction 15,000 bags of 50 kilos of imported rice last June 26, generating an income for the bureau of about P21.1 million. At least five bidders from Zamboanga, Davao, Cebu and Mania participat­ed in the bidding of the imported rice. (Nonoy E. Lacson)
