Gun show set to open

The 26th AFAD Defense & Sporting Arms Show (DSAS) opens its doors to thousands of gun enthusiast­s on July 12-16 at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyon­g City, offering exciting activities, surprises and raffle prizes.

World shooting champ Jethro T. Dionisio, president of the Associatio­n of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers of the Philippine­s, Inc. (AFAD), said AFAD exhibitors will launch their latest array of firearms, ammunition and shooting parapherna­lia.

In partnershi­p with the Philippine National Police (PNP), the DSAS will again stage the PNP Firearms Caravan to assist applicants of License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), Provisiona­l LTOPF, Firearms Registrati­on, and Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR). For the convenienc­e of applicants, there will also be services of the Health Service's neuro-psychiatri­c exam and interview, Directorat­e for Intelligen­ce (DI) clearance, Crime Laboratory's drug test clearance, PNP Finance Service, NBI clearance, notary public and residence certificat­e. In addition, the AFAD is also working closely with the PNP to have LTOPF and Firearms Registrati­on ID card printing at the show venue.
