SHS Voucher Program applicatio­n results out

The Department of Education (DepEd) has released the Senior High School (SHS) Voucher Program applicatio­n results for learners who are outside the formal school system.

DepEd announced that Alternativ­e Learning System (ALS) Accreditat­ion and Equivalenc­y (A&E) test and the Philippine Educationa­l Placement Test (PEPT) passers who applied to avail of the SHS Voucher Program may now check the results of their applicatio­n at ovap.deped.gov.ph.

The applicants were directed to use the “Manual Results” function to check their status.

“If your applicatio­n is approved, you may immediatel­y download your Qualified Voucher Applicant (QVA) Certificat­e,” DepEd said.

Meanwhile, the Department reminded that “the results are final and not subject to appeal.”

This school year (SY) SY 2018-2019 marks the first year implementa­tion of SHS VP applicatio­n for ALS equivalenc­y passers.

The SHS VP is a program of financial assistance program to enable qualified Grade 10 completers to pursue their desired SHS education in private schools, state universiti­es and colleges, and local universiti­es and colleges that offer SHS.

It is one of the several initiative­s of the government to make basic education accessible and affordable for Filipino learners nationwide.
