Bataan governor boosts Roman Highway security

BALANGA CITY, Bataan — Serving as main highway for investors and traders in Bataan, the four-lane Roman Expressway will soon be equipped with more security cameras to ensure the safety of the motorists.

Governor Abet S. Garcia is seeing through the boosting of security along the expressway by ordering 24/7 patrolling by the Metro Bataan Developmen­t Authority (MBDA) and programmin­g the installati­on of more closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras equipped with video analytics.

Garcia said the high-tech CCTV cameras will be installed along the 57-kilometer Roman Expressway to help in disaster response and boost the safety of motorists.

The governor said he is also pushing for the widening of Roman Expressway into a six-lane highway to the industrial areas of Limay and Mariveles and the capital Balanga City.

Assisting the province in this endeavor are Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) District Engineers Erlindo Flores (1st District) and Ulysses Llado (2nd District).
