New dialysis unit for Bohol hospital

TAGBILARAN CITY – The Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital opened Monday a new dialysis unit, to serve the increasing number of dialysis patients in Bohol. Hospital chief Dr. Mutya Kismet Tirol Macuno led the opening rites for the new dialysis unit. Some dialysis patients at the hospital have to be waitlisted because it has 10 only hemodialysis units.The hospital plans to set up 15 new units to serve about 96 patients. The budget for the acquisition of the hemodialysis units was R14 million. Another hospital in Bohol, the Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital in Talibon town, has received ISO 9001-2015 certification.(Dave Alabarado)
