NCRPO chief finds sleeping cop-on-duty
Administrative charges may be filed against a police officer in Valenzuela City after he was caught sleeping while on duty by no less than National Capital Region Police Office chief Guillermo Eleazar.
On Monday midnight, PO1 Gary Garcia was caught allegedly sleeping during a surprise inspection conducted by Eleazar.
Garcia is currently assigned as administration officer at the Marulas precinct in Valenzuela City.
According to city police chief Sr. Supt. David Nicolas Poklay, Garcia already reported to Eleazar to explain himself, pending an investigation.
Quoting Garcia, Poklay said that the rookie cop said that he was not sleeping but he was just "late in reaction."
"A series of inspection were likewise made to check the readiness of our personnel. It is really sad as there's one who was caught sleeping. Definitely he will undergo pre-charge investigation," Poklay said.
