447 land titles awarded in Tarlac

- By RAYMUND F. ANTONIO

Vice President Ma. Leonor “Leni” Robredo witnessed recently the turnover of land titles to 447 families in a rare public appearance in Capas, Tarlac.

The ceremony held last coincided with her visit to the Capas Bahay Pagbabago-Drug Reformatory Center, a model facility hailed by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for its holistic reformation program.

Robredo was accompanied by Senator Bam Aquino, her campaign manager in the 2016 vice presidential elections, and other local officials.

In her message at the event, Robredo said the families can now finally call the land, where their houses stand, their own after they were given the land titles.

The recipients of the land titles were the families living in Barangay Cristo Rey, formerly known as the Camp O’Donnell Resettlement Site, which used to be part of Clark Air Base Military Reservation in Capas.
