This is The Eddys!
The stars smartened up this year by gracing the 2nd Eddys or Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards at The Theatre of Solaire last July 9. Unlike last year when many of the nominees and winners were noticeably absent at the maiden event of the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd), the 2018 edition strongly says The Eddys is here to stay going by the large number of excited celebrities spotted on the red carpet and onstage when the awards were handed out.
Acting as hosts on the red carpet were Tim Yap and Rhian Ramos. The program was emceed by the siblings Ruffa and Raymond Gutierrez. The performers that night were the Wishful 5 (Princess Sevillena, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola, and Ace Bartolome), Noel
Cabangon, Ciara Sotto, Jona, Bituin Escalante, Loonie and Abra. Some of the presenters were David Licauco, Andrea Torres, Jolo Revilla with his brothers Bryan Revilla and Luigi Revilla, Arjo Atayde, Meg Imperial, Donnalyn Bartolome, Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) head Rachel Arenas and Film Development Council of the Philippines head Liza Diño-Seguerra.
