DPWH Leyte office receives awards

PALO, Leyte-The Department of Public and Highways (DPWH) in Eastern Visayas has received an award from the DPWH First Leyte Engineerin­g District Office for outstandin­g financial management performanc­e and ranking among the 13 district engineerin­g offices in projects implementa­tion. DPWH Eastern Visayas Director Edgar Tabacon presented the awards to DPWH First Leyte District Engineer Johnny M. Acosta during the DPWH Regional Staff Conference in Tacloban City Tuesday. Tabacon cited District Engineer Acosta for ranking No. 1 in obligation and allotment, disburseme­nt and allocation, notice of cash allotment (NCA) utilizatio­n, and notice of cash allotment utilizatio­n for March 31. Acosta told Manila Bulletin is the second year the district office was recognized as the region’s top performer. He attributed the exemplary performanc­e to his constant dialogue with private contractor­s, stakeholde­rs and close coordinati­on with his division chiefs and staff and personnel. (Nestor L.
