Innovation fund

COTABATO CITY – The Department of Education of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (DepEd-ARMM) has launched a fund grant facility for innovative methods of education aimed at bringing the 28-year old region at par with developed communities in the country, an official facilitator said. The facility, dubbed Responsive Innovation Fund (RIF), seeks to provide opportunities for education stakeholders to contribute to the delivery of quality education in the region, DepEdARMM Secretary Rasol Mitmug, Jr. said “We want (to enable) everyone to contribute brilliant innovative ideas that will result in improved learning outcomes (for) our schoolchildren or strengthen education governance in our region,” said Sec. Mitmug, a lawyer, who led the facility launch at a meeting in Davao City on July 9. (Ali G. Macabalang)
