A Spotlight on Modern Chinoys

-

To celebrate the unique fusion of the Filipino and Chinese cultures, Fil-Chi Media Productions Inc., and Tak Gun Group recently signed a partnership agreement signifying the official launch of this year’s Mr. and Ms. Chinatown.

This formal signing of contract once again strengthens and proves the progress of the trade and business relations between China and the Philippines.

Tak Chun Group is one of the leading companies in the Macau Gaming Promoter business. It is devoted to uphold responsible gambling, enhance the interests of its shareholders and maintain the long-term and sustainable development of the company's main business. Fil Chi Media Productions, meanwhile, is a lifestyle and television production company that aims to promote the Chinese culture as well as bridge the Chinese and Filipino communities.

This year, Chinoy TV together with Tak Chun Group and Miss Chinatown Foundation bring in a bigger and bolder vision through its theme: #BeautyindiverCHIty. The competition aims to share a collection of different stories of Modern Chinoys who are moving out the stereotypes while still being tied close to their roots.

Since 2013, Mr. and Ms. Chinatown has been one of the country’s premier beauty pageants that promote Chinese and Filipino cultures through the dedicated and progressive Chinoy youth.

The Coronation Night which will be held at the SM MOA Arena on September 2 faces the challenge of gathering its biggest audience yet. A delayed telecast will be aired on September 9 exclusively after Sunday’s Best on ABS-CBN for its 5th year.

The candidates will be competing in different pre-pageant activities such as the Press Presentation on August 8, Fashion Show on August 15, Cultural Costume Presentation on August 19, Talent Competition on August 26, among others.
