Greenfield boosts progress of Sta. Rosa, Laguna
Instrumental in the transformation of Sta. Rosa City into a rising center of business, industrial, and residential components is the presence of developers like Greenfield Development Corporation that continuously spurs economic momentum in the area.
The prospect of decentralization of activity and commerce to South Luzon and the open, nature-rich environment of Laguna are some of the aspects that motivated the developer to be at the forefront of the city’s development. Its flagship project in the South, Greenfield City, has set the tone of Sta. Rosa’s transformation into a premier urban center south of Metro Manila.
The 400-hectare master-planned township is known as a “city within a park” – taking off from the developer’s design and development vision of creating modern, future-ready homes and communities while respecting the land where it builds.
“We wanted those who work, shop, reside and engage in recreational activities in Greenfield City to experience a complete suburban and convenient lifestyle amidst nature, with wide open spaces, parks, playgrounds and tree-lined roads. It is a city not only developed with parks and playgrounds, but a city developed within the park itself,” explained Atty. Duane A.X. Santos, GM and EVP of Greenfield.
The developer continues to prioritize making Greenfield City the best alternative place to live, work, and play outside of overcrowded Metro Manila with new developments in the pipeline for the year.
At present, it already showcases sought-after residential communities, pioneer outlet malls, al fresco shopping malls, a booming business district, and a sprawling industrial estate.
This evolution began in 1998 with the Paseo Outlets, the first outlet shopping hub in the country located in a 16-hectare land at the corner of Laguna Boulevard and Sta. RosaBalibago Road. Paseo Outlets eventually became a weekend destination for urban dwellers that are looking for bargain finds and good food.
In response to the growing number of shoppers, another mall, the 10,000sqm Laguna Central, was opened soon. Laguna Central is where shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, and a hypermart are set amidst verdant landscapes. Meanwhile, Arcadia, a three-story commercial building beside Paseo Outlets, opened the following year.
A new transport terminal will soon be operational within the Paseo complex, as part of a bigger development plan that Greenfield will undertake to show the company’s trust and commitment to the city of Sta. Rosa, and to contribute to the city’s dynamic economic growth.
With providing more employment opportunities in mind as well, the developer established Greenfield Auto Park which is a 65-hectare ecozone that hosted the assembly plant of carmakers and factories. There are also IT, food and beverage as well as telecommunications companies located at the zone.
Greenfield also built the Sta. Rosa Business Park which is an 11-hectare mixed-use property with advanced communication infrastructure that now has healthcare facilities, offices for multinational firms, a hotel (Paseo Premiere Hotel) and residential buildings.
Integral to Greenfield City are its residential communities. Greenfield launched the 30-hectare Pramana Residential Park along Greenfield Parkway and is touted as the first residential park in the country.
Solen Residences, a 55-hectare residential enclave, was established just across Pramana and features modern Asian-inspired houses.
Up next in its list of residential developments will be Trava – a new premier residential feature of Greenfield City and the flagship project of Greenfield’s upscale brand, Greenfield Deluxe. Trava is a 31-hectare subdivision development that is designed to have a mix of residential and commercial components.
