16 alleged drug personalit­ies arrested in QC

Sixteen alleged drug personalit­ies were apprehende­d during separate drug stings and anticrimin­ality operations in Quezon City in 24 hours starting Monday.

The latest to be arrested by anti-illegal drug operatives of Quezon City Police District-Masambong Police Station were Marissa Flores, 45; Jomer Fronda, 24; Sanierico Lopena, 29; Mary Rose Emperial, 23; Rose Marie Gara, 37; Trinity Feliz, 33; and Russel Agustin, 34; all from Barangay Bagong Pag-asa.

Police were able to seize from them 10 sachets of suspected shabu during a buy-bust along Capricorn Street in Sitio San Roque around 2:30 a.m, Tuesday.

Thirty-minutes before, personnel of QCPD-Batasan Police Station nabbed Rey Comayengke­ng, 27, of Barangay Payatas, during its simultaneo­us anti-criminalit­y operation in the area.

Two sachets of shabu were recovered in the suspect's possession.

At around 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, members of QCPD-Novaliches Police Station Drug Enforcemen­t Unit collared Harold Elemparo, 36, of Novaliches.

Police said Elemparo was initially accosted when they spotted him smoking along San Ignacio Street in Barangay Gulod, and when frisked, he yielded a sachet of shabu.

Meanwhile, personnel of the QCPDGalas Police Station arrested Jerry Caraig, 42; Noel Nate, 30; and Darius Cullera, 43, all residents of Barangay Tatalon during a buy-bust along BMA Street in their barangay around 11:30 p.m., Monday.

Four sachets of shabu, as well as the marked money used in the operation were recovered from the suspects who police said were known drug peddlers in their area.

In Barangay Pasong Tamo, antidrug operatives of Talipapa Police Station arrested Christ Paul Salvador, 21; Joshua Barcelona, 19; and Daniel Igloso, 21 after they were caught having a shabu session along Area 5 at about 9:30 p.m., Monday.

A sachet of shabu and some drug parapherna­lia were confiscate­d from them.

In Barangay Loyola Heights, drug enforcemen­t unit of QCPD-Anonas Police Station collared Julius Palanog, 42, during a drug sting conducted around 4:50 p.m.,Monday.

Police seized two sachets of shabu and the buy-bust money from his possession.

Arrested drug suspects are now under police custody and were charged with violation of R.A. 9165 or The Comprehens­ive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
